A special Board meeting

A special Board meeting of Lincoln City Supporters’ Trust was held on the 7th July 2011 to discuss the Lincoln City Football Club General Meeting that has been called for the 21st July 2011.

Recognising the importance of the General Meeting, the Trust Board unanimously agreed that the Trust will write to all adult members of the Trust seeking their views.

The resolutions to be considered at the General Meeting call for a vote of no confidence in the Club Board, votes seeking the removal of all existing Club Directors/Organisations and the reinstatement of a former Club Director. We approach the GM without preconceptions and very much want to hear from each and every Trust member and take their guidance in deciding what actions are taken by the Trust at the GM.

This provides an opportunity for all adult Trust members to have an input and they will be able to give views by letter, by e-mail or by meeting Directors of the Trust at a surgery session being held in the Trust Suite at Sincil Bank on Saturday 16 July from 9.30am to 1.00pm. Only views received by the Trust prior to 12.00 noon on 18 July 2011 from fully paid up adult members will be considered.

At the close of the special Board meeting Trust Chairman, Chris Ashton, said, “This is a crucial period in the history of Lincoln City F.C. and it is vital that all of the Trust members take the time to share with the Trust Board their views. At our meeting the Board expressed full confidence in our two representatives who are members of the Lincoln City Football Club Board. We will not agree Trust actions in relation to the Lincoln City F.C. GM until after the closing date for receiving member input and all valid input has been considered. The Trust Board is duty bound in line with its constitution to act in the best interests of LCST.  As a consequence we will be taking views from our members prior to making a decision about how to vote at the GM.”
