John Pearson

Company Secretary

What is your role on the Trust Board?
I am the secretary for the Trust. I am not a member of the board but with my main role being to ensure that the Trust complies with the appropriate rules and regulations as well as dealing with various administration tasks.
Where do you sit?
I can be found on a matchday sat at the top of the Co Op stand where the view is considerably better than the games spent as a 10 year old watching from the terraces.
Why did you join the Trust?
I wanted to get involved with the Trust because I think it is important that the fans have a say in the running of the club and that the Club listens to their fans.
When was your first game at Sincil Bank?
My first matches were 3 of the last home games of the 1992-93 season – Chesterfield, Rochdale and Darlington. After that I became a regular and have enjoyed and endured many games down at the Bank!
Which was the best Lincoln game you have seen?
The best home game has to be the play off game against Scunthorpe with goals galore and a pitch resembling Skegness on a good day.
The best away game was the game against Fulham in the League Cup. A cracking cup game.
Who is your favourite ever Lincoln player?
Gareth Ainsworth
Who is your favourite Lincoln manager?
My time following the Imps has brought little success but the days of Big Keith will take some beating.
What is your best Lincoln moment?
Cardiff - the first time. Sadly Bournemouth failed to stick to the script and the plucky underdogs fell at the last hurdle. It was a great occasion and the team did the fans proud that year.
What is your worst Lincoln moment?
Sitting at Huddersfield train station, surrounded by jubilant Huddersfield fans celebrating their victory over us in the playoffs. Damn you Andy Booth!!
Which is the best ground you have visited?
The Millennium Stadium.
Which is your favourite League 2 ground?
None stand out as particularly appealing so I’ll have to say Sincil Bank!!
Who is the best player you have ever seen?
I saw David Beckham score a last minute equaliser at Old Trafford against Leicester in 1998 and he’s supposed to be quite good! Best player I’ve seen against Lincoln, although it was only a friendly match, was Emile Heskey - our defence couldn’t cope at all.   Best Imp would be Ainsworth or N’Guessan when he actually tried.

Which other teams do you support?
None
What are your other sporting interests?
I like to play a little bit of golf (although I need to start playing a little bit more if I want to get any better). I enjoy watching most sports - I have popped down a few times to see the Leicester Tigers and this year I went to Lakeside to watch the darts!
