Lincoln Supporters' Trust > Who's Who > Elected Board Members

Lissie Wilkins

Trust Chair

What is your role on the Trust Board?

I am Chair of the Trust Board. I am also involved with Youth Projects as I am on the steering committees of The Goal and the Playing For Success scheme

Where do you sit?

I can be found on a matchday in the Echo stand.

Why did you join the Trust?

I joined the Trust as I believe that fans should have a major say in the running of their football team. Directors, managers and players come and go, but real fans remain constant.

When was your first game at Sincil Bank?

My first game at Sincil Bank was a midweek game in 1974, when I moved to Lincolnshire. I was playing either hockey or tennis every weekend, so could only come to midweek games

Which was the best Lincoln game you have seen?

The best Lincoln game I have seen has to be the final Conference fixture against Wycombe. The whole future of the football club was riding on it.

Who is your favourite ever Lincoln player?

I think that Gordon Hobson is my favourite Lincoln player.

Who is your favourite Lincoln manager?

Colin Murphy is my favourite manager – for being successful in his mission!

What is your best Lincoln moment?

Two favourite moments stand out – Phil Brown’s goal against Wycombe and Simon Yeo’s goal at Scunthorpe

What is your worst Lincoln moment?

Unfortunately, I was at York when David Longhurst died. What a sad moment.

Which is the best ground you have visited?

The best ground I have visited is The Emirates Stadium.

Which is your favourite League 2 ground?

My favourite League 2 ground is Rochdale. I like to sit at the side of the pitch, and the view at Rochdale is superb.

Who is the best player you have ever seen?

I will now show my age by saying that I saw George Best play. (I was very young at the time!)

Which other teams do you support?

I do not support any other teams, although I do enjoy watching the present Arsenal team.

What are your other sporting interests?

As an ex PE teacher, I have always loved sport. I play tennis and go to the gym. I love cricket and have a season ticket for Trent Bridge. I have been known to play golf very badly.
