Two long standing members of the Trust, Ty and Vicki Corcoran, have taken time to answer some questions for us. It’s always good to hear from members and we hope you enjoy the read!
Name :- Ty and Vicki Corcoran
How long have you supported the Imps? :- Ty: 25 years. Vicki: All my life – 50+ years
Favourite player of all time :- Ty: Grant Brown – Lincoln City through and through. Vicki: Gareth Ainsworth
Favourite current player :- Ty: Jamie Clapham. Vicki: Unfortunately I can’t go to games now so I am unfamiliar with many of the current players
Best ever game :- Ty: The next one! Too many good memories to choose one really. Vicki: I don’t remember who the game was against, but by the end the whole crowd was singing “Walking in a Lincoln Wonderland” (including the Library!) And we won!!
Favourite other team :- Ty: None really. I look for the results of several teams for all sorts of reasons. Vicki: Manchester City
Do you do anything before the match to bring the Imps good luck? :- Ty: No. Vicki: No.
Where do you sit? :- Ty: Stacey West 096 M. Vicki: I used to sit in the old South Park Stand when it was wooden. Then I sat in the Linpave/Coop Stand. Now it’s in front of the telly watching Sky.
Why did you join the Trust? :- Ty: One of those things done in the grim days. Despite all of the current politics and bickering I still feel it’s better for the club to have a well supported Trust. Vicki: I joined when it first started because I wanted to help the club survive and be involved with it as much as I could.
Where will the Imps finish this season? :- Ty: Don’t know but it’s going to be one hell of a roller coaster ride. Wasn’t it ever thus? Vicki: Probably fighting relegation or at best mid table mediocrity. But I’m Lincoln till I die, no matter what.
Who will be top scorer? :- Ty: Ben Hutchinson. Vicki: Probably Ben Hutchinson.
What do you think of the match day experience? :- Ty: Tannoy is awful and too often music is playing when the announcer is speaking. Vicki: Always good but mostly very frustrating and tense.
How could we do better? :- Ty: That tannoy!! Oh, and the food – I now avoid it. Not a fan of the beer or the prices in the Trust Suite. Pat on the back for the stewards, the cleanliness of the stand and the access through the fire station. Vicki: Make the club more accessible for me (a wheelchair user) eg have a lift up to the boxes where I could watch the game inside (even if only occasionally due to cost)
