At a recent meeting of the Trust Board our Membership Secretary, Paul Kenton, gave a report on membership numbers confirmed to date.
We have 369 adult Trust members who have joined either when they renewed their season ticket or by direct debit. Youth members total 303. Adult members are able to take part in the election of a Supporter Director to the Club Board, who is currently David Beck.
The Trust is also pleased to be able to report that there are 39 current Gold members. These are Trust members who have dug deep into their pockets when the future of the Club was bleak and in a lot of cases after their original Gold membership lapsed signed up again so that they could continue with their highly valued membership. Some additional new Gold members have also joined in recent times in order to participate in what they believe to be a value for money investment and support for the Trust. The Trust Board welcomes their contributions to our Trust and Club. Gold members are able to elect a Gold Supporter Director to the Club Board, who is currently Jean Foster.
The Trust Board is delighted to announce that there are 20 Life members who have completed their Gold membership. Their past contribution to the Trust and Club is to be applauded, at the same time their much appreciated association with the Trust continues. They are able to be involved in the election of the Supporter Director.
The Trust Board has also been pleased to confer honorary membership on five people and two organisations who have contributed considerably to the Club or Trust. These include current Club Board directors (some directors pay an adult membership fee or are Gold members and are listed as adult or Gold members). Three further honorary members have done meritorious service for our Club or Trust and the Trust Board has wished to acknowledge that service. The organisations in honorary membership are the Lincolnshire Co-operative Society and Supporters’ Direct, This list is reviewed annually. Honorary members are also able to be involved in the election of the Supporter Director although some honorary members prefer not to take up that opportunity.
The total Trust membership in November stood at 741. Presently, a recruitment exercise is underway to encourage those members who did not renew their membership this season to reconsider and rejoin. At this moment in our history your support is needed.
